Vision Statement for the Position

As the Ecommerce Merchandiser, you are the liaison between the Technical team, Marketing team and Product Managers. You work to display products in a way that stimulates interest and tells a story to entice customers to purchase. As an Ecommerce Merchandiser you are an enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive. You have an analytical mind that can identify opportunities and recommend strategies to improve channel performance and product rankings.

Job Overview

The Ecommerce Merchandiser will partner with Product Managers to specify products, push and develop a marketing calendar, and to promote the products. The Ecommerce Merchandiser will lead the online customer experience by mimicking the showroom visual browsing experience. As the Ecommerce Merchandiser, you will determine which products to showcase, where to showcase, and how to sell each product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and merchandise sites on a daily basis using consumer-centric strategy and collaborating with buying and marketing teams on product performance
  • Maintain accurate web catalogs, product data, imagery and another site information
  • Merchandise sites in conjunction with markdowns and promotional events
  • Manage best practices and implement new initiatives for site merchandising
  • Support eCommerce buying and marketing teams in weekly reporting around campaign, site and category performance
  • Stay up to date with competitive trends in the e-commerce market, leverage insights to influence future site functionality initiatives and remain current with industry best practices.
  • Optimize and update SEO copy for category, product detail and any landing pages
  • Review competitor websites to ensure industry alignment with categorization, promotions and trends.
  • Leverage analytics tools to analyze key KPIs and metrics to identify opportunities to improve merchandising and the customer experience across the various sites and product categories

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management or comparable work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in direct-to-consumer Ecommerce, merchandising
  • Understanding of SEO practices
  • Has experience working in Web Content Management Systems (HTML and CSS a plus)
  • Experience with product catalogs
  • Results-driven and able to work with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Overall good attitude and strong work ethic
