What You Will Do As a Marketplace Manager

This position will have responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of online marketplaces and support future strategic development on digital channels. Additionally, it would be beneficial the Manager had experience with 3rd party selling models on Amazon and ideally 1st party (vendor), with a proven strategic track record in eCommerce and Marketplaces.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on the website experience, balancing eCommerce initiatives and goals with those of other functions (such as brand, IT, customer service, supply chain, legal, etc).
  • Measure, analyze and track marketing investments and digital agency work across all shopping platforms and execute actions to close gaps vs. forecast and other KPIs.
  • Ensure proper alignment in promotions, advertising, placements, and assortments on various platforms, working with broader digital and marketing teams on brand cross-channel content calendars.
  • Manage partner site enhancements, site maintenance, and personalization to drive overall profit lift, partnering with other groups as needed.
  • Ensure perfect shelf; coordinate product setup including production of copy, imagery, keywords, attributes, and other product data with internal and external teams. Ensure listings are free of trademark or unauthorized seller activity to maintain the integrity of our brands on Amazon.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative sources of data, partnering with the analytics and insights teams as needed, to develop and execute conversion rate optimization strategy and testing plan. Drive a deep understanding and empathy for the consumer.
  • Inventory levels - Work with Operations, analysts, and external agency to maintain proper inventory levels. Oversee POs and shipments.
  • Execute optimization testing (usability, A/B, MVT, etc) through agency partners or independently as needed.
  • Meeting customer expectations by recommending changes to product or services and websites.
  • Monitoring our customers 3rd party product pricing, product listings, and overall data integrity.
  • IMAP Administrator as well as 3rd party policy enforcer - responsible for all aspects of managing the policies and enforcement. This includes researching offenders and sending cease desist documentation.
  • Oversees the day-to-day eCommerce operations, merchandising execution, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the entire web process exceeds expectations from how the brand is perceived to product availability, quality and order processing timeliness.

Skills For Success

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, eCommerce or Marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce in a brand setting, with Amazon 3rd party and/or 1st party (vendor) experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of eCommerce sales success.
  • Passion for eCommerce and professional curiosity for how things work - to test, improve, and apply learnings where possible. Extensive experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising and online retailing.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and business acumen to turn analysis into insights and recommendations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Upbeat and positive attitude. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Keen attention to detail.
